Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support surgical teams in the Operating Room (OR). The CST will assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers during surgical procedures by preparing sterile instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and ensuring the operating room is fully equipped for safe and efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures
• Sterilize and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Assist surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to aseptic and infection control practices
• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures to support workflow efficiency
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps according to policy
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation for surgery
• Handle specimens appropriately and ensure proper labeling and transport
• Clean and restock operating rooms following procedures
• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements
• Assist with emergency procedures and trauma cases as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation and support urgent surgical procedures when required

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Operating Room experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and OR procedures
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure surgical environments
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with physically demanding procedures
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties preferred

Pay Rate
$42.28 - $47.15/hour
