Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ED RN will rapidly assess, stabilize, and treat patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure timely and effective care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care based on patient acuity.
  • Provide emergency nursing care for patients with medical, surgical, traumatic, and critical conditions.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to changes in clinical status.
  • Assist with emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, and life-saving interventions.
  • Operate and monitor cardiac monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other emergency equipment.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, laboratory personnel, radiology staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Current ACLS certification required.
  • PALS certification required or preferred based on facility requirements.
  • TNCC certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Critical Care nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, trauma care, cardiac monitoring, and critical care interventions.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification preferred.
  • Experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers preferred.
  • Previous travel or contract nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced emergency environment.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered emergency care.

Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
