Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ED RN will rapidly assess, stabilize, and treat patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure timely and effective care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care based on patient acuity.
- Provide emergency nursing care for patients with medical, surgical, traumatic, and critical conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to changes in clinical status.
- Assist with emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, and life-saving interventions.
- Operate and monitor cardiac monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other emergency equipment.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, laboratory personnel, radiology staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Current ACLS certification required.
- PALS certification required or preferred based on facility requirements.
- TNCC certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Critical Care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, trauma care, cardiac monitoring, and critical care interventions.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification preferred.
- Experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers preferred.
- Previous travel or contract nursing experience preferred.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced emergency environment.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered emergency care.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
