Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Echocardiographer to perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. The Echocardiographer will obtain diagnostic images, evaluate cardiac anatomy and function, ensure patient comfort, and collaborate with cardiologists and the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) according to established protocols
- Obtain high-quality cardiac ultrasound images and Doppler studies
- Assess cardiac structure, function, valve abnormalities, and blood flow
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety during procedures
- Recognize significant or abnormal findings and communicate urgent results according to facility protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), PACS, and imaging systems
- Perform routine equipment quality control and maintenance
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Follow infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and patient safety standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program
- Active RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) through ARDMS or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) through CCI
- Active state license where required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent echocardiography experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, echocardiographic imaging, and Doppler techniques
- Experience with PACS, Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and cardiac imaging systems preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
Pay Rate
$75,000.00 - $114,000.00/year
