Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to perform high-quality computed tomography imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostic results. The CT Technologist will operate advanced imaging equipment, prepare patients for examinations, administer contrast media when applicable, maintain imaging standards, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders, departmental protocols, and safety standards
• Prepare patients for CT examinations by explaining procedures, verifying patient information, and ensuring proper positioning
• Operate CT scanners and imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Adjust scanning parameters and techniques to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
• Review images for technical accuracy, completeness, and diagnostic quality before submission for interpretation
• Administer contrast media as permitted by scope of practice and facility guidelines
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs or adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient history, procedures performed, and imaging records
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Utilize PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and image management
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, safety checks, and report technical issues as needed
• Follow infection prevention practices and patient safety protocols
Required Qualifications:
• Active ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred/required based on facility requirements
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current state Radiologic Technologist license (if applicable)
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent CT Technologist experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, anatomy, radiation safety, and imaging protocols
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate diagnostic images
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced imaging environment
• Experience with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems preferred
Pay Rate
$58.56 - $63.43/hour
