Critical Care Float Pool RN
Position Summary
Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients across multiple critical care units. Adapt quickly to different patient populations, workflows, and clinical environments while maintaining safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor critically ill patients.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and hemodynamic status.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
- Manage ventilators, invasive lines, drains, and other critical-care equipment.
- Recognize and respond promptly to patient deterioration and emergencies.
- Assist with procedures, resuscitation, and stabilization of critically ill patients.
- Adapt to staffing needs across ICU, step-down, and other critical-care areas.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow safety and infection-control standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous ICU, critical care, or step-down experience required.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Strong critical-thinking, assessment, and emergency-response skills.
- Excellent communication and adaptability.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple clinical units and high-acuity environments.
Pay Rate
$71.14 - $76.02/hour
