Position Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Clinical Dietitian to provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling for patients across various clinical settings. The Clinical Dietitian will assess nutritional needs, develop individualized nutrition care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and identify patients at nutritional risk
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy for acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic diets, nutrition management, and healthy lifestyle choices
  • Monitor patient progress and modify nutrition interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient rounds
  • Document nutrition assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection prevention protocols, HIPAA, and facility policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, nutrition education programs, and continuing professional development

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Active state dietitian license where required
  • Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of recent clinical dietitian experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, therapeutic diets, and nutrition assessment
  • Excellent communication, counseling, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in acute care, critical care, outpatient, rehabilitation, long-term care, oncology, renal, or pediatric settings
  • Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) or other specialty nutrition certifications preferred
  • Previous travel or contract healthcare experience preferred
  • Strong patient education, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience participating in interdisciplinary rounds and quality improvement initiatives

Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
