CAT Scan Technologist

Position Summary

We are seeking a CAT Scan Technologist to perform computed tomography (CT) examinations and produce high-quality diagnostic images. The technologist will operate CT equipment, prepare and position patients, administer contrast when required, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare and position patients correctly for CT procedures.
Operate CT scanners and adjust imaging parameters as needed.
Administer contrast media as permitted and monitor patients for reactions.
Screen patients for allergies, medical conditions, and procedure-related risks.
Review images for quality and repeat scans when necessary.
Monitor patients during examinations and respond to changes in condition.
Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient-care standards.
Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Current ARRT certification and CT certification or eligibility, as applicable.
Current state radiologic technologist license, where required.
Previous CT or diagnostic imaging experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of CT protocols, contrast safety, and radiation protection.
Excellent technical, communication, and patient-care skills.

Pay Rate
$87.14 - $92.02/hour
