X-Ray/CT Technologist
Perform diagnostic X-ray and computed tomography (CT) examinations to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. The X-Ray/CT Technologist will operate imaging equipment, position patients safely, obtain high-quality images, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray and CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Position patients correctly and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate and monitor X-ray and CT equipment safely and efficiently.
- Review patient history and screen for relevant contraindications before examinations.
- Administer contrast media when required and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Explain procedures to patients and provide appropriate care and reassurance.
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety standards.
- Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification in Radiography; CT certification preferred or required as applicable.
- State licensure as required.
- Previous X-ray and CT experience preferred.
- Strong technical, patient-care, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced imaging environment.
Pay Rate
$77.24 - $82.11/hour
