Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The X-Ray Technologist will ensure patient safety, operate imaging equipment, and produce accurate diagnostic images while maintaining compliance with radiation safety and healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and imaging protocols.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients while ensuring comfort and safety during procedures.
- Operate digital radiography, portable X-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment as required.
- Evaluate image quality and repeat examinations when necessary to obtain diagnostic images.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain compliance with ALARA principles.
- Perform routine equipment quality control and report equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), RIS, and PACS.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning as needed.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Active Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice, where required.
- Current ARRT (R) certification required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent diagnostic radiology experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic anatomy, patient positioning, imaging techniques, and radiation safety.
- Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
