Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technologist to perform laboratory testing and analysis to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. The technologist will process specimens, operate laboratory equipment, perform quality checks, and maintain accurate results and records.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, receive, label, and process patient specimens according to laboratory procedures.
  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests and analyses.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Review and verify test results for accuracy.
  • Perform quality control procedures and identify testing issues.
  • Prepare reagents, solutions, and laboratory materials as required.
  • Document test results and maintain accurate laboratory records.
  • Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment or testing problems and report issues appropriately.
  • Communicate critical or abnormal results according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or appropriate education in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Current laboratory certification/licensure as required for the position and state.
  • ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, quality control, and safety practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
