Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) to provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ER RN will assess, triage, stabilize, and treat patients with acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and life-threatening conditions while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, timely, and patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care using established triage protocols
  • Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients with medical, surgical, and traumatic emergencies
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed
  • Assist with trauma care, resuscitations, code blue events, and other emergency procedures
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment
  • Operate emergency equipment, including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and defibrillators
  • Collect specimens and assist with diagnostic testing and bedside procedures
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and patient safety standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • TNCC certification preferred or required based on assignment
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER) or Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, trauma care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, emergency medications, and critical care principles
  • Excellent assessment, communication, critical-thinking, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency environment
