Ultrasound & X-Ray Technologist
Perform diagnostic ultrasound and X-ray examinations to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. The Technologist will operate imaging equipment, obtain high-quality images, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound and X-ray examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Position patients correctly and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Review patient history and clinical information before examinations.
- Explain procedures and provide appropriate patient care and reassurance.
- Operate and perform routine checks on ultrasound and X-ray equipment.
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety standards.
- Maintain accurate patient and examination documentation.
- Recognize and communicate urgent findings according to established procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized imaging areas.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology and/or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARRT certification for X-ray and ARDMS certification for ultrasound preferred/required as applicable.
- State licensure or credentialing as required.
- Previous ultrasound and X-ray experience preferred.
- Strong technical, patient-care, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced imaging environment.
Pay Rate
$71.90 - $76.78/hour
