Ultrasound Technologist
Position Summary
We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images for accurate patient evaluation. The technologist will operate ultrasound equipment, position patients, document findings, and collaborate with physicians and radiologists.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for examinations.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and select appropriate imaging techniques.
- Obtain and document high-quality diagnostic images and measurements.
- Recognize and document relevant anatomical findings for physician review.
- Monitor patients during examinations and provide clear instructions and support.
- Maintain accurate patient and imaging records.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and imaging standards.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized imaging environment.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related program.
- ARDMS certification or eligibility, as applicable.
- Current state license or registration, where required.
- Previous ultrasound experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, anatomy, and imaging techniques.
- Excellent technical, communication, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$68.85 - $73.73/hour
