Ultrasound Technologist
Position Summary
We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images for interpretation. The technologist will prepare patients, operate ultrasound equipment, and ensure accurate documentation and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders.
- Explain procedures and prepare patients for examinations.
- Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment to obtain quality images.
- Position patients safely and maintain comfort throughout procedures.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and completeness.
- Document procedures, findings, and patient information accurately.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report technical issues.
- Follow infection control, safety, and radiation-free imaging standards.
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Maintain patient privacy and provide compassionate care.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.
- Current certification/registration as applicable.
- Previous ultrasound or diagnostic imaging experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ultrasound procedures, anatomy, and imaging techniques.
- Strong technical, communication, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
