Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images for physician interpretation. The technologist will operate ultrasound equipment, accurately assess anatomy and blood flow, document findings, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout each examination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Obtain high-quality images and measurements for accurate diagnostic interpretation.
- Perform general, abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and other ultrasound studies as required.
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort, privacy, and safety.
- Review patient history and clinical information before examinations.
- Evaluate images for completeness, technical quality, and diagnostic value.
- Apply appropriate ultrasound techniques and protocols based on the examination requested.
- Maintain accurate patient information, measurements, worksheets, and examination documentation.
- Upload and manage images through PACS and applicable imaging systems.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and departmental policies.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS certification or eligibility preferred/required based on assignment requirements.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent ultrasound experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, ultrasound techniques, and imaging protocols.
- Excellent technical, communication, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
- Experience with PACS and EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with general, abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound.
- Additional ARDMS credentials such as RDMS or RVT preferred based on assignment requirements.
- Previous hospital, outpatient, or diagnostic imaging experience.
- Strong knowledge of Doppler and color-flow imaging.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.
- Strong attention to detail and image-quality standards.

Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
