Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations that assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of medical conditions. The Ultrasound Technologist will produce high-quality images, ensure patient safety and comfort, and collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to deliver outstanding patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to physician orders and established imaging protocols
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients for ultrasound examinations
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain accurate, high-quality diagnostic images
  • Evaluate image quality and perform additional imaging when necessary
  • Recognize and communicate significant findings according to facility protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), PACS, and Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Ensure proper care, maintenance, and quality control of ultrasound equipment
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Follow infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, radiation safety (where applicable), and patient safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Active ARDMS, ARRT (Sonography), or CCI certification appropriate to the specialty
  • Active state license where required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ultrasound imaging experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques, anatomy, physiology, and patient care
  • Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in general, abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, breast, small parts, or musculoskeletal ultrasound
  • Additional ARDMS specialty certifications (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, RVT, Breast) preferred
  • Previous travel or contract imaging experience preferred
  • Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules as required

Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
