Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist (RDMS/RVT) to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound and vascular imaging procedures. The Ultrasound Technologist will obtain accurate diagnostic images, ensure patient comfort and safety, and collaborate with radiologists and physicians to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound and vascular imaging examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Conduct abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, gynecological, small parts, and vascular ultrasound studies as applicable.
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety during procedures.
- Evaluate image quality and obtain additional images when necessary for accurate diagnosis.
- Recognize and report significant findings to the interpreting physician according to facility protocols.
- Operate, maintain, and perform routine quality checks on ultrasound equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), RIS, and PACS.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Active ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required.
- Active ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent ultrasound and vascular imaging experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sonographic anatomy, vascular imaging techniques, and ultrasound equipment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
- Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
