Ultrasound Technologist – OB/GYN
Position Summary
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations focused on obstetric and gynecologic care. Obtain high-quality images, assist providers with accurate diagnosis, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
- Obtain and document high-quality diagnostic images and measurements.
- Evaluate fetal growth, anatomy, viability, and maternal pelvic structures as applicable.
- Prepare patients and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and effectively.
- Recognize abnormal findings and communicate relevant observations to the appropriate provider.
- Maintain accurate and timely examination documentation.
- Follow infection-control, patient safety, and imaging standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS certification in OB/GYN (RDMS) preferred or required as applicable.
- Current state license or registration, if required.
- Previous OB/GYN ultrasound experience preferred.
- Strong technical, communication, patient-care, and attention-to-detail skills.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
