Ultrasound Technologist – OBGYN
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for obstetric and gynecologic patients while ensuring accurate imaging and compassionate patient care. The Ultrasound Technologist will operate ultrasound equipment, obtain high-quality images, and work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders.
- Obtain and document high-quality diagnostic images and measurements.
- Assist with first-trimester, second-trimester, and third-trimester studies as appropriate.
- Perform pelvic, transabdominal, and transvaginal ultrasound examinations.
- Explain procedures to patients and provide appropriate comfort and support.
- Review patient history and clinical information before examinations.
- Maintain accurate exam documentation and image records.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and imaging protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams regarding examination findings.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS certification preferred or required based on position requirements.
- OBGYN ultrasound experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment and imaging techniques.
- Excellent patient-care and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
