Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions. The Ultrasound Technician will operate ultrasound equipment, ensure patient comfort and safety, and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients while ensuring comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Obtain high-quality ultrasound images for accurate interpretation.
  • Evaluate image quality and ensure complete examinations before submission for review.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and perform routine quality control checks.
  • Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), RIS, and PACS.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Active state licensure where required.
  • Current ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification or equivalent certification required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ultrasound/sonography experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques, anatomy, physiology, and patient care.
  • Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
