Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist with Echocardiography experience to perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound and cardiac imaging procedures. The technologist will obtain high-quality diagnostic images, assist physicians in the evaluation of cardiovascular and general ultrasound conditions, and deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, small parts, obstetric/gynecologic (as applicable), and echocardiography studies.
  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and assist with other cardiac ultrasound procedures as required.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain examination processes.
  • Operate ultrasound and echocardiography equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Evaluate image quality and ensure studies meet diagnostic standards.
  • Recognize abnormal findings and communicate urgent results according to facility protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and PACS.
  • Ensure proper care, maintenance, and quality control of ultrasound equipment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Follow infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Sonography program.
  • Active ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) credential, as applicable.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ultrasound and echocardiography experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques, cardiac anatomy, physiology, and echocardiographic procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and PACS systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$71.90 - $76.78/hour
