Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. The technologist will operate ultrasound equipment, accurately position patients, optimize imaging protocols, and collaborate with physicians and radiologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Verify patient identity, clinical history, and examination requirements.
- Explain procedures and properly position patients for imaging.
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently.
- Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques for each examination.
- Obtain and document required images, measurements, and anatomical findings.
- Evaluate images for quality and completeness before submitting for interpretation.
- Monitor patient comfort and respond appropriately to patient needs during examinations.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and PACS.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and departmental protocols.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS certification or eligibility required.
- Active state license or registration where applicable.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent ultrasound experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, ultrasound techniques, and patient positioning.
- Excellent communication, technical, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
- Experience with EMR and PACS systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ARDMS credentials such as RDMS, RVT, or RDCS preferred based on specialty.
- Experience with abdominal, pelvic, vascular, OB/GYN, or general ultrasound imaging.
- Experience with inpatient, outpatient, or emergency ultrasound preferred.
- Strong knowledge of image optimization and ultrasound protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.

Pay Rate
$83.33 - $88.21/hour
