Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. The technologist will operate ultrasound equipment, accurately position patients, optimize imaging protocols, and collaborate with physicians and radiologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Verify patient identity, clinical history, and examination requirements.
  • Explain procedures and properly position patients for imaging.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques for each examination.
  • Obtain and document required images, measurements, and anatomical findings.
  • Evaluate images for quality and completeness before submitting for interpretation.
  • Monitor patient comfort and respond appropriately to patient needs during examinations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and PACS.
  • Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and departmental protocols.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • ARDMS certification or eligibility required.
  • Active state license or registration where applicable.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ultrasound experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, ultrasound techniques, and patient positioning.
  • Excellent communication, technical, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
  • Experience with EMR and PACS systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ARDMS credentials such as RDMS, RVT, or RDCS preferred based on specialty.
  • Experience with abdominal, pelvic, vascular, OB/GYN, or general ultrasound imaging.
  • Experience with inpatient, outpatient, or emergency ultrasound preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of image optimization and ultrasound protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Pay Rate
$83.33 - $88.21/hour
