Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Position Summary
Provide skilled speech-language therapy to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans to improve functional abilities, communication, and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions based on patient goals and clinical needs.
- Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy strategies and home programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PTs, OTs, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and progress documentation.
- Follow patient safety, infection-control, and therapy standards.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state SLP license.
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred/required as applicable.
- Previous clinical, acute-care, or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Pay Rate
$52.85 - $57.72/hour
