Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Position Summary
Provide skilled speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing services to patients across different healthcare settings. Develop individualized treatment plans and help patients improve communication, functional abilities, and quality of life while adapting to new clinical environments.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions for communication and swallowing disorders.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, safety, and home programs.
- Recommend appropriate communication strategies and adaptive equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adapt effectively to different facilities, patient populations, and clinical environments.
- Follow patient safety, infection-control, and clinical standards.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current and active state SLP license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or required as applicable.
- Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Travel or contract healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$54.20 - $59.08/hour
