Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Position Summary

Provide skilled speech-language therapy to patients on temporary travel assignments. Evaluate communication and swallowing disorders, develop individualized treatment plans, and help patients improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and identify speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on therapy strategies and home programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Adapt quickly to different facilities, patient populations, and clinical environments.
• Follow patient safety, infection-control, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current SLP license in the applicable state.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to adapt to travel assignments and new healthcare environments.
• BLS certification preferred/required as applicable.
