Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate, develop, and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or physical disabilities. The Physical Therapist will work across diverse healthcare settings to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and maximize patient independence while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and patient goals.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and mobility interventions.
  • Assess and recommend assistive devices, orthotics, and adaptive equipment.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to optimize functional outcomes.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, body mechanics, and safe mobility techniques.
  • Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adapt quickly to new healthcare environments while maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and rehabilitation therapy principles.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$54.20 - $59.08/hour
