Travel Occupational Therapist (OT)
Position Summary
Provide skilled occupational therapy services across different healthcare settings and locations. Evaluate patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and help patients improve independence and functional abilities while adapting to new clinical environments.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic activities to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and daily living skills.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and functional tasks.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and techniques to promote independence.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and home programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Adapt effectively to different facilities, patient populations, and assignments.
- Follow patient safety, infection-control, and clinical standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the applicable state.
- Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Travel or contract healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different healthcare settings and assignments.
Pay Rate
$54.20 - $59.08/hour
