Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Travel LPN to provide high-quality nursing care in various healthcare settings. The LPN will administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, assist with daily care needs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care according to established care plans.
- Monitor patients and report changes in condition to the RN or healthcare provider.
- Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice.
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, and other nursing procedures.
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient information.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, activities of daily living, and personal care.
- Collect specimens and assist with diagnostic procedures as directed.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and health management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Adapt quickly to different healthcare environments, workflows, and patient populations.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, aides, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the state of assignment.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent LPN/LVN experience preferred.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration, patient care, wound care, and nursing procedures.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, organization, and adaptability.
- Ability to work independently in new and changing healthcare environments.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in acute care, long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute settings.
- Experience caring for geriatric and medically complex patients.
- Strong ability to adapt to different facility policies and workflows.
- Excellent teamwork and time-management skills.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Pay Rate
$37.48 - $42.36/hour
