Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. The Travel LPN will assist with patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, and deliver exceptional patient care while adapting quickly to diverse clinical environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
  • Administer medications, injections, IV therapy (where permitted), and treatments as prescribed.
  • Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, and other nursing procedures within scope of practice.
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Collect specimens and assist with diagnostic testing as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, disease management, and health maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Adapt quickly to new facilities, workflows, and patient populations while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent LPN experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, medication administration, and patient care practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous travel healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience in acute care, long-term care (LTC), skilled nursing facilities (SNF), rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, or home health settings.
  • IV Therapy Certification where permitted by state regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into new healthcare settings.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Pay Rate
$37.90 - $42.78/hour
