Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings. The Travel LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, delivering direct patient care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and supporting interdisciplinary teams while adapting quickly to new clinical environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans
  • Administer medications, injections, wound care, IV therapy (where permitted), and prescribed treatments
  • Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and promptly report changes to the supervising RN or provider
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Collect specimens and perform nursing procedures within the LPN scope of practice
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting comfort and safety
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and health maintenance
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with physicians, Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other healthcare professionals
  • Follow infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
  • Adapt quickly to varying clinical environments, workflows, and patient populations
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
  • Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent LPN experience preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration, patient assessment, wound care, and nursing procedures
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new facilities and clinical settings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in acute care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, outpatient, or clinic settings
  • IV Therapy certification where permitted by state regulations
  • Wound care experience preferred
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations
  • Strong teamwork, flexibility, and patient-centered care skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules as required

Pay Rate
$37.90 - $42.78/hour
