Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. LPNs play a vital role in monitoring patients, administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or physician.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration).
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Perform basic wound care and dressing changes.
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing.
- Document patient assessments, care provided, and any changes in condition.
- Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to the RN or physician.
- Educate patients and families on basic healthcare needs and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN/LVN license.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of basic nursing practices and patient care.
Pay Rate
$34.29 - $39.17/hour
