Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings. The Travel LPN will deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, and quickly adapt to new clinical environments while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care according to individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and report changes to the supervising RN or physician
- Administer medications, injections, IV therapies (where permitted), and prescribed treatments
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, and other nursing procedures
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, hygiene, and comfort measures
- Collect specimens and assist with diagnostic testing as directed
- Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and health maintenance
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Follow infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Adapt quickly to new facilities, workflows, and patient populations during travel assignments
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent LPN experience preferred
- Experience in acute care, long-term care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication administration, patient assessment, and basic nursing procedures
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
- Ability to travel and adapt to different healthcare environments
Pay Rate
$27.07 - $31.94/hour
