Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Job Description

Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN is responsible for administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, documenting care, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress.
  • Assist with patient assessments and care planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
  • Provide wound care and other basic nursing procedures.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Follow facility policies, infection control standards, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Active LPN license in the applicable state.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Previous experience in Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, or Acute Care preferred.

Pay Rate
$44.40 - $49.28/hour
