Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Travel Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The Travel LNA will assist patients with activities of daily living, monitor patient conditions, and support the healthcare team while adapting quickly to diverse clinical environments and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Measure and document vital signs, height, weight, intake/output, and other patient observations.
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with specimen collection and other basic clinical procedures within scope of practice.
- Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Document patient care accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Adapt quickly to new healthcare settings while maintaining high standards of care.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program.
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification/license in the state of practice.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent LNA or Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basic patient care, infection prevention, and safe patient handling techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$17.00 - $20.39/hour
