Therapy/Rehabilitation/PT – Acute Care Hospital

Position Summary

We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide rehabilitation services to patients in an acute care hospital setting. The PT will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and support safe mobility and functional recovery.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients’ mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities.
Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and safe use of mobility equipment.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients and families on exercises, mobility, and safety techniques.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and discharge recommendations accurately.
Follow hospital safety, infection control, and clinical standards.
Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up care.

Qualifications

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in the applicable state.
Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient-care skills.
Knowledge of mobility, rehabilitation, and therapeutic treatment techniques.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Pay Rate
$63.79 - $68.67/hour
