Anesthesiology Technician
Support anesthesia providers by preparing equipment, supplies, and medications for surgical and procedural care. The Anesthesiology Technician will maintain anesthesia equipment, assist during procedures, and help ensure a safe and efficient operating environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and check anesthesia machines, monitors, equipment, and supplies.
- Set up anesthesia equipment and procedure areas before surgeries.
- Assist anesthesia providers during surgical and diagnostic procedures.
- Ensure necessary airway equipment, medications, and supplies are readily available.
- Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain anesthesia equipment according to protocols.
- Monitor inventory and restock anesthesia supplies as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions promptly.
- Assist with patient transport and positioning when required.
- Follow infection control, safety, and operating room standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant healthcare training preferred.
- Previous anesthesia, surgical, or operating room experience preferred.
- Knowledge of anesthesia equipment and basic medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Pay Rate
$46.79 - $51.67/hour
