Job Title: Surgical Technologist
OR-CST- Shift: 645a-515p, Call, Weekends, holidays, No BLOCK scheduling. need to have travel exp., Level 1 Trauma exp. high rating on skills set. Burn exp. preferred
Position Summary
Assist the surgical team by preparing operating rooms, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing instruments and supplies during surgical procedures. Support safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Set up and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures.
- Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to surgeons as needed.
- Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, and sterile draping.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
- Handle and label specimens according to established procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control standards.
- Clean, disinfect, and restock the operating room after procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support efficient surgical workflow.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred or required as applicable.
- Previous Operating Room or surgical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instruments, and infection prevention.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
Pay Rate
$35.56 - $40.44/hour
