Surgical Technologist (Surg Tech)
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist to support surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting the surgical team. The Surg Tech will help ensure safe, efficient, and organized surgical care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room, instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection prevention practices.
- Assist surgeons and other surgical team members during procedures.
- Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies.
- Prepare and handle specimens according to established procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport.
- Monitor and maintain surgical equipment and supplies.
- Complete required documentation and report equipment or safety concerns.
- Follow patient safety and operating room protocols.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Surgical Technologist certification or credential as required.
- Surgical Technology certification such as CST preferred or required as applicable.
- Previous operating room or surgical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instruments, and infection prevention.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, professional, organized, and safety-focused.
Pay Rate
$49.03 - $53.91/hour
