The instruments room manager has 24 hour responsibility for directing and coordinating activities of instrument room attendants engaged in preparation of sterile instruments. The instruments room manager participates in the budgetary process, tracks and reports instrument expenditures. Establishes and implements auditing and management strategies to assure that instruments are available and in working condition. Maintains sterile processing records according to AORN and AAMI standards.
