Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to oversee and support sterile compounding operations within a regulated pharmacy environment. The pharmacist will be responsible for supervising sterile compounding activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, reviewing batch records, supporting quality initiatives, and collaborating with technicians and quality teams to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality compounded medications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily sterile compounding and cleanroom operations
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians during sterile preparation processes
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, batch records, and regulatory guidelines
• Conduct pre- and post-compounding checks to maintain product quality and sterility
• Review and approve batch records prior to product release
• Maintain accurate documentation and controlled substance logs
• Participate in deviation investigations, CAPA processes, and quality improvement initiatives
• Manage inventory of compounded products and ensure accurate tracking
• Collaborate with quality teams to support compliance and continuous improvement
• Promote a positive, compliant, and collaborative work environment
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required
• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the applicable state
• Experience with sterile compounding operations strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of USP guidelines and sterile compounding standards
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, regulated environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
Pay Rate
$61.37 - $66.25/hour
