Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Staff Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, timely care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions. The RN will perform rapid assessments, prioritize care, administer treatments, monitor patient status, and collaborate with the emergency department team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform triage and comprehensive rapid assessments based on patient acuity.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and changes in patient condition.
- Establish IV access and assist with emergency procedures and interventions.
- Respond to cardiac arrests, trauma, stroke, and other emergency situations.
- Assist physicians with procedures, airway management, wound care, and resuscitation.
- Obtain ECGs, collect specimens, and monitor diagnostic and laboratory results.
- Recognize clinical deterioration and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and emergency care protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, triage, critical care, and medication administration.
- Excellent clinical judgment, critical-thinking, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN preferred.
- TNCC certification preferred.
- PALS certification preferred based on patient population.
- CEN certification preferred.
- Experience with trauma, cardiac, stroke, and other critical emergencies.
- Strong teamwork and crisis-management skills.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Pay Rate
$52.85 - $57.72/hour
