Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 4th Floor Medical-Surgical Unit. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute medical, surgical, and post-operative conditions while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
  • Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and post-operative patients.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
  • Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, laboratory results, and response to treatment.
  • Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, and other nursing procedures.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
  • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, disease management, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) or acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of patient assessment, medication administration, care planning, and medical-surgical nursing practices.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$52.85 - $57.72/hour
