Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Provide skilled speech and language therapy to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and monitor progress toward functional goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
- Conduct dysphagia assessments and recommend appropriate diet or swallowing strategies.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and communication strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Provide recommendations for adaptive communication devices and strategies when appropriate.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional practice standards.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable.
- Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, treatment-planning, and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Pay Rate
$64.85 - $69.72/hour
