Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions for speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
- Conduct and interpret appropriate diagnostic assessments.
- Provide dysphagia evaluation and treatment, including swallowing safety recommendations.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment strategies, exercises, communication techniques, and home programs.
- Recommend appropriate communication and swallowing strategies or assistive devices.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in care planning, patient conferences, quality improvement, and continuing education activities.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility as applicable.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent SLP experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Excellent clinical, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, SNF, home health, or pediatric settings.
- Experience with dysphagia, neurological disorders, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and medically complex patients.
- Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) or FEES preferred based on setting.
- Strong patient and caregiver education skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Pay Rate
$66.37 - $71.24/hour
