Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide therapy for speech, language, voice, cognition, and communication disorders.
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia and swallowing difficulties.
- Recommend appropriate communication strategies, adaptive equipment, and assistive devices.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, communication strategies, and safe swallowing practices.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient conferences.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of practice.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Excellent communication, clinical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, SNF, home health, or long-term care settings.
- Experience with dysphagia management and instrumental swallowing assessments preferred.
- Experience treating stroke, neurological, geriatric, post-surgical, or medically complex patients.
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Pay Rate
$41.54 - $45.65/hour
