Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to maximize communication and swallowing function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals
- Provide therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and dysphagia disorders
- Conduct bedside swallowing evaluations and participate in instrumental swallowing assessments as appropriate
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies, home exercise programs, and communication techniques
- Recommend and train patients in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices when appropriate
- Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred or required based on facility requirements
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders across the lifespan
- Experience with dysphagia assessment and treatment
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$51.16 - $56.04/hour
