Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to improve patient communication, safety, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Provide therapy to improve communication, cognition, speech production, and swallowing function
- Perform clinical swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate diet modifications when indicated
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, communication strategies, and home exercise programs
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe treatment environment
- Follow infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of practice
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred or required based on assignment
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred
- Knowledge of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia assessment and treatment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Pay Rate
$66.37 - $71.24/hour
