Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. The Speech-Language Pathologist will develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve communication abilities, swallowing function, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses, functional limitations, and rehabilitation goals
• Provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments
• Conduct clinical swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate diet modifications, compensatory techniques, and swallowing precautions as needed
• Monitor patient progress through ongoing assessments and modify treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, swallowing safety, home exercise programs, and disease management techniques
• Recommend and train patients in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and adaptive communication equipment when appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, dietitians, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, discharge planning, quality improvement initiatives, and patient education programs
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, HIPAA regulations, and facility policies and procedures
• Promote patient independence, functional communication, safe swallowing, and improved quality of life through compassionate, evidence-based rehabilitation care
Required Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of practice
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred/required based on facility requirements
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Speech-Language Pathologist experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders and evidence-based treatment techniques
• Excellent clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and critical-thinking skills
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based rehabilitation care
Pay Rate
$66.37 - $71.24/hour
