Sonographer – Acute Care
We are seeking a skilled Sonographer – Acute Care to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for hospitalized and acutely ill patients while ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders.
- Obtain high-quality images and document relevant findings for interpretation.
- Perform bedside/mobile exams for patients who cannot be transported.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment according to department standards.
- Monitor patient condition and provide appropriate care during examinations.
- Maintain accurate examination records and follow infection-control and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Current ARDMS certification or equivalent credential.
- Active state license/registration as required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Previous acute-care or hospital sonography experience preferred.
- Strong technical, communication, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
