Surgical Scrub Technologist
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Scrub Technologist to support the surgical team before, during, and after procedures. The Scrub Tech will prepare instruments and supplies, maintain a sterile field, anticipate the needs of the surgical team, and ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and arrange surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment before procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
- Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to surgeons and other surgical team members.
- Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies.
- Perform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and other surgical items.
- Assist with patient positioning and surgical site preparation.
- Handle and label surgical specimens according to established procedures.
- Monitor sterile equipment and report any contamination or equipment concerns.
- Clean, organize, and restock the operating room after procedures.
- Follow infection control, safety, and sterile technique standards.
- Assist with emergency and complex surgical procedures as needed.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, circulating nurses, anesthesia staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current Surgical Technologist certification or credentialing as required.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Previous operating room experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instruments, and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, professional, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$49.03 - $53.91/hour
